A Surfing Safari itinerary
Combine your love of surfing with this road trip around New Zealand. Featuring sweet spots like Raglan, famous for its long left-hand break; Surf Highway 45, where the hemispherical coast collects 180 degrees of ocean swells; and local favourite Mount Maunganui where you can get a good right point break off the point at Moturiki Island at the south end of the beach, you'll get plenty of opportunities to catch a wave.
While on land, you'll be able to make the most of great food, awesome Kiwi hospitality and throw in other sights and sounds synonymous with New Zealand. Take the opportunity to try Sand Boarding down giant sand dunes, and experience the Rere Rockslide which recently went viral on YouTube thanks to devinsupertramp.
While we can't assist with your dream of travelling the entire globe chasing The Endless Summer, we can ensure you make the most of every minute during the New Zealand leg of your journey. Spend three glorious weeks chasing the surf and enjoying the best of the rest New Zealand has to offer when the weather decides to serve up 'ankle biters'.
Bring your own board, get together a decent playlist for the car and let's get you on a surfing safari, Kiwi style! The sooner you get in touch, the sooner you'll be saying "it's Time 2 Go!"
Not many of you can spare 45+ days for an endless summer, so we recommend breaking your trip into one of these shorter adventures:
A - 7 nights - SURF THE NORTH - Auckland to Auckland
B - 10 nights - THE NORTH + GREAT BARRIER ISLAND - Auckland to Auckland
C - 14 nights - SURF THE BEST OF THE WEST + KAIKOURA - Auckland to Christchurch
D - 10 nights - SURF THE SOUTH - Christchurch to Wellington
E - 15 nights - SURF OUT EAST - Wellington to Auckland
